About UsClassroom Resources was set up in 1995 by teacher and author John Hickey.
John having graduated from Manchester University in 1977 gained 15 years valuable teaching experience in a variety of state and private schools as well as in further and higher educational institutions. During this time John was commissioned to write numerous educational resources and publications for a wide range of government institutions, public limited companies, and charitable organisations. John, who often recruited other teachers to help with this work, was perhaps the first to recognise that many practising teachers had their own excellent resources that when published would be of invaluable assistance to other teachers worldwide.
Classroom Resources allows teachers to market their own resources and ideas to schools nationally and internationally. Many teachers have worked hard to produce high quality resources for their own use and Classroom Resources gives them the opportunity to bring them to the notice of a wider market.
Selling with Classroom Resources costs teachers nothing. You simply submit your resources for our consideration, and we take care of the production and marketing to schools through our carefully targeted promotional literature and website. All secondary schools in the UK are mailed or emailed weekly and we also mail primary schools, international schools, colleges and universities, special schools and many other educational establishments. When orders are received teacher authors receive their royalty payments.
Classroom Resources also acts as Educational Consultants for a number of clients, providing educational resources to support various initiatives. Classroom Resources teacher authors are commissioned to write support material which is then delivered into schools.
