This material has been developed to help students following AQA's GCSE Systems & Control Technology course. Individual slide(s) can be used as a starter/introduction for a lesson, on that topic or with the comprehensive worksheets as a revision lesson at the end of the topic. These 84 PowerPoint presentation slides slowly build up on screen allowing the pupil to read each paragraph, see an equation build up and see a drawing slowly develop before their eyes. They then copy the circuit symbol, key phrases or do some more example equations on the appropriate part of the worksheet. A small graphic appears at the bottom right hand corner of the screen when the screen has finished building up, so the user knows when to click the mouse button to go to the next screen. It can take about an hour to work through each presentation with a class. The completed worksheets can be given to pupils to take home, so that they can use them to revise. Most of the key phrases, circuit symbols and diagrams have been taken from Foundation past papers, but it is also a good building block for Higher paper entries. This resource does capture the pupils' attention, with its screen slowly building up. The experienced teacher can also use it to ask pupils questions around that area of the specification.
