This series of sixteen shows (created in Office 2003 and XP) has been developed to enhance enjoyment and understanding of A level Organic Chemistry, particularly for Edexcel courses but they are generally applicable. Lively, animated, refreshing, punchy and humorous, they are readily accessible by the users.

Topics covered include:

AS: Organic Review, Hydrocarbons (alkenes and alkanes), Alcohols, Haloalkanes, Isomerism.

A2: Acyl Chlorides, Aldehydes and Ketones, Amines and Amides; Carboxylic Acids, Esters, Grignard Reagents, Isomerism, Nitriles and Amino Acids, An Aliphatic Review, Aromatic 1 (bonding in benzene), Aromatic 2 (properties and reactions).

They can be used as stimulus material and provide an excellent opportunity to revisit topics to reinforce learning and understanding. They are great for revision and useful at times of staff or pupil absence. In the current climate of starters, plenaries and questioning they have much to Pupils can access them from stand-alone computers or the school's resources network. They can be used with interactive whiteboards or projected on to a normal screen. To increase interactivity, pupils can use individual whiteboards. The hyperlink buttons, used in some shows, have been coloured (R-Y-G) to make it easier for pupils to refer to the button colours when penning answers and in others the responses are letter coded.

Teachers determine the pace and can add their interpretation of this fantastic resource.
