This resource was written by two experienced teachers and examiners of French at A Level, both with long service in one of the country's leading sixth from colleges. The main purpose of this collection of tests is to encourage students to review and reinforce their knowledge of those points of grammar, vocabulary and spelling which seem to recur most frequently at both AS and A Level, with all exam boards. Indeed, certain points reappear in several tests, quite deliberately! The tests are graded, with the early tests mostly featuring more basic points, but even in the later stages complexities and obscurities which are not relevant at this level for the vast majority of candidates have been avoided. This resource has already been piloted successfully in a large French department where students find them enjoyable and instructive. Staff have found them very effective as a classroom resource as students can work in pairs, sharing knowledge and learning from each other or individually.
