A Level Unprepared text; an XP PowerPoint display
For many students the hardest part of A Level English Literature is the unprepared (sometimes called the 'unseen') text. This PowerPoint display provides a framework which teachers can use to talk through areas with students; it can also be copied and used for individual revision. It is designed for students approaching the area for the first time and it is about how to approach unprepared texts in general.
This resource provides every teacher with a 'second voice' so students can develop confidence and become prepared for the 'unprepared'. As a PowerPoint display it has the benefit of being a novelty and change of style for English Literature students; for the teacher, though, each slide only moves to the next once the mouse right button is clicked (or 'Page Down' button)! With words from Walt Whitman and Buddha, doggerel inspired by the great William McGonagall and a variety of special effects this resource will enrich all A level Literature courses!
