Think of a deaf person speaking. Having never heard themselves speak, they are often unable to speak properly. Poor readers have exactly the same problem. Having never heard themselves read, they are unable to imagine how they would sound reading properly. The Repeat Reading technique allows this to happen. It is an extremely powerful tool - even the poorest reader can make progress to better than average within six to ten weeks - and uses books appropriate to the age of the reader.
