This new and revised resource has been written to help teachers and students make use of the preliminary material provided for Unit 2 of the AQA French AS examination. Students are required to read eight pre-release texts related to three topics chosen by the Board – Immigration and Multiculturalism, The French-Speaking World, Mass Media- and in the examination they are asked to write two essays. The questions in this resource imitate those in Unit 1, with some additional ones to help reinforce vocabulary. There are also vocabulary lists to provide students with words they may not know but which they should find easy to revise. Also supplied is a stream of 'soundbite' phrases in French to assist students with ideas and expressions on each of the three areas as homework practice and as a basis for the test. This is continued with notes on the topics for Unit 1. A comprehensive teacher's section with model answers is also provided.
