Causes and Consequences is based on versatile card based activities for the History Department using active, kinaesthetic learning.

Each resource contains a set of professionally line-drawn cartoons, plus six large statements for sorting, matching or sequencing. There are materials covering the core History Study Units: Britain 1000-1500, 1500-1750, 1750-1900, and Modern World History 1900-2000. Each resource covers 10 key questions which arise continually in the study of British and world history, for example;

• 'What were the causes of the Norman invasion of Britain in 1066?'
• 'Why did England experience a reformation in the 16th Century?'
• 'What were the causes of Britain's Industrial Revolution in the 18th century?'
• 'Why did WW I start in 1914?'

Included with the resource are a comprehensive set of Teacher's notes suggesting some of the productive ways the resource can be used. "Causes and Consequences" is a very simple yet flexible and allows differentiation by task.
