This exciting disc is an ideal provision for the secondary and upper junior Mathematics classroom and extra curricular Maths club. Best used with a computer linked projector, it provides an ideal starter activity for the 3 part lesson which can be used with or without calculator assistance.
The style is the same as Carol Vorderman successfully uses in the numerical section of 'Countdown' where a number target must be met using all, or some, of the six other numbers supplied and any of the four Maths operations.
The 100 number target section is a PowerPoint presentation which is ideal for class use on an interactive whiteboard and at home on a simple projector system. All possible solutions are hidden until exposure is required, the time allowed is left to the user, this section is also useful for the adventurous teacher to modify with their own targets and solutions.
The two random number generators allow for a variation in the size of the numbers provided to achieve the target with a one click change in the target and usable numbers provided. This section is without solutions and lends itself to use with the popular A4 wipe clean whiteboard.
Both sections have been extensively tested in active service and provide a mental stimulus for all ages.
Once purchased the CD can be freely copied and networked throughout the school.
