Dataspread Resource Pack for 7-14 year olds Information Technology

Dataspread is an ideal pack either to help introduce work on databases and spreadsheets or to supplement work in the classroom. There are three units of work:

• Databases 1
• Databases 2
• Introducing Spreadsheets

The pack consists of sheets that not only provide detailed and comprehensive information regarding the teaching of the different units, but also carefully prepared photocopiable resource sheets for pupils to use at different stages. The sheets can be used directly by pupils or can be adapted as necessary. Information Technology is important within the curriculum and can facilitate learning in different subject areas. Each unit outlines both the necessary skills to be taught and ideas for developing cross-curricular work.
