Following the runaway success of Las Fiestas en España (9084), the resource that has been capturing the imagination of A-Level and GCSE students since 2003, the author is proud to present De fiesta en fiesta for our younger pupils who will no longer have an excuse to be cariacontecidos, having felt a little left out!
With the generous collaboration and judicious advice of many Spanish assistants and colleagues in the intervening years, De fiesta en fiesta is being rolled out to capture the imagination of both Primary and Secondary students and bring a heart-warming glow to their fresh faces. All the fun of the fair combined with a bedrock of easy-to-follow grammar and vocabulary are the main ingredients of this high-reaching resource, that starts with Nochevieja and the arrival of a new year, continues with four more topics and then concludes with Navidad and Reyes. However, don’t expect a turkey; this is a real celebratory cracker!
The full six topics covered in depth take us on a magical tour throughout the year and include weddings, feast days, birthdays and Halloween. The latter is not the most Spanish of celebrations, but it is dejando huella in the Spanish psyche. After all, who does not like a good old-fashioned fright? It’s universal!
