The Edexcel Past Papers CD-ROM is a truly unique resource.
It contains all the GCSE French past papers from 1998 to 2005 (including the 2003 specimen paper).
These papers are in interactive form - the questions mark themselves!
Developed over a period of five years by an Advanced Skills Teacher, these are now only available on CD-ROM exclusively from Classroom Resources.
The CD contains over 660 exercises, covering all four skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing – the 2005 paper writing questions are already covered in other years). They are designed to work on any computer that runs Internet Explorer 6 SP1 or equivalent (but you do not need access to the Internet to use this resource).
Every exercise (from the 1998 paper to the 2002 paper inclusive) has its own searchable glossary.
Every year (not 2005) has its own vocabulary tests for listening and reading.
There are over 440 tests available on the CD – that is over 4400 items of vocabulary that students can practise before their exams.
Careful use of this CD has shown a marked improvement in results: students who have used this CD have consistently scored A* and A grade at GCSE.
This CD can be networked freely in the purchasing school and copies can be made for its students to use at home.
It complements the studies of any year group; the user can choose whatever exercise they wish in the following ways:
- By year
- By skill
- By level
- By topic (including skill and level)
Students find this an extremely motivating resource because they can keep track of their own results, and more importantly they are aware of their own progress.
