End-of-term Mathematical Activities

These mathematics activities are suitable for use with pupils in years 7 to 9 and are designed to encourage pupils to use logical reasoning strategies in number and algebra and to discover and apply patterns in shape and space. The activities vary in difficulty and the level of difficulty is clearly marked on each sheet. Where specialist paper is needed, this is highlighted on the relevant sheet. Also included is mathematical vocabulary.

Although titled end-of-term activities, some of the sheets will be suitable for homework tasks to support some topics. Much of the material will also be appropriate for use as emergency lesson cover or when timetables are disrupted by internal activities taking place within school.

Above all, the activities contained in this pack will allow pupils the opportunity to enjoy mathematics in a more informal situation.
