Pack M3 - European Great Power Rivalry
The main developments in European affairs, from the Unification of Italy (1859-61) and of Germany (1863-71) to the outbreak of the First World War are covered in a series of political cartoons, from Punch and other sources, and explained by maps and diagrams. Internal developments within the European powers are included only in so far as they affect international relations. This series leads up to July 1914, but the events from the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand are covered in pack N1 - The Great War.
