The exercises are presented in three sections:
Section 1- Students are presented with three silent videos and three sound tracks. Students listen to the sound tracks, watch the videos and simply match one to the other. In addition, this section contains a series of exam style listening exercises.
Section 2 - contains 54 exercises, divided into two different types: students listen to a set of contemporary news headlines and place them in the correct order. The second type is a gap fill exercise and a sequencing exercise all in one. Both types of exercises contain an enormous variety and range of vocabulary - over 600 words.
Students need to score 80% in each listening exercise in order to access the vocabulary matching exercise - to benefit from the exercise, they have to listen!
A 23 level matching vocabulary test is included. Students have to score 100% to progress to the next level - a challenge they will relish.
Section 3 contains a series of gap fill activities.
A unique feature: students can choose the medium with which they wish to work - video, audio or text.
Each exercise has be accompanying vocabulary exercise containing synonyms and English translations - the ideal tool for vocabulary acquisition.
