This is a series of 25 problems suitable for solution strategy development in Mathematics lesson starters with students of a wide age and ability range. The problems are presented in a form specifically for use on a classroom interactive whiteboard where students can actively demonstrate to their peers their problem solving strategies and their chosen solution.
The problems can also be used as a whole class tool where answers are presented by all students on 'dry-wipe' tablets.
Each problem is a separate unit presented on a time line with the answer exposure and problem exit controlled by the teacher on a screen button. There are several types of problem e.g. anagrams with drag and drop solutions, logic, numeric calculation and spatial manipulation.
The tasks are graded in difficulty and available, in a separate document, to the teacher to read and assess content suitability on the disc before use, although answers are only shown in the running presentations.
The problems will run on any browser and as such are not specific software dependent.
Once purchased the CD can be freely copied and networked throughout the school.
