This book is the result of a whole year of work, and I hope other colleagues will find it as useful as I have. With these worksheets all the listening outcomes are covered. It is organised exactly according to the units of the AQA specification. All the units in this book have the same title as in the AQA Entry Level Certificate specification; and the outcomes are clearly labelled, showing the National Curriculum Level attained.
The font used varies:
- The normal font is used for English.
- Italics are used for German.
- Italics and bold are used for instructions in German.
The different skills are indicated by symbols which:
- Introduce the vocabulary input, which should be practised orally.
- Mark the listening activities.
- Show where some writing activities have been included, in order to reinforce the learning of the new vocabulary.
There is a help-box in some worksheets to provide assistance and all worksheets have a box where students can write their name and the date.
Finally, transcripts and solutions to the activities are given at the end of the book.
