This essential collection of History Wordsearches brings you 32 puzzles designed to fit into the History curriculum at almost any point. Suitable for all ages, wordsearches are an ideal way of introducing new vocabulary or reinforcing existing knowledge of words, and they can also be used as extension tasks, homework, fillers, or end of term fun sessions. Some of the puzzles are straightforward wordsearches, some require the pupil to complete a task in order to discover the words to be searched for, and some of the puzzles have clues which lead towards the words to be found. There is also a blank grid for you or your students to create a wordsearch of your own. The presentation and layout of every puzzle is very user friendly. The words, (or tasks), are clearly shown at the top of each page, with the puzzle itself immediately underneath. Solutions are provided at the end of the booklet. With one puzzle per page, each page stands alone and can be easily photocopied. As a stand-alone task a puzzle can be completed at one sitting or used to fill gaps over a period of time. Attractive, self-explanatory, easy to use yet still challenging to the pupil and providing opportunities for learning, these puzzles are not to be missed. A set of Geography alphabet copying masters for specialist Geography rooms, designed to contribute to the literacy impact of the environment and add visual stimulus by displaying essential vocabulary in an attractive and easily absorbed format. The alphabet supports developing literacy skills for ages 8 to 16 by matching vocabulary with appropriate graphics for easier interpretation of words. A complete alphabet is usually placed in order around the room to aid alphabetic sequencing and to act as visual aids for the teacher, but they could also be used as flash cards. The complete set consists of forty-two black and white A4 masters with clear line drawings. The extra letter posters above twenty-six give alternative words for some letters in order to allow the display to be tailored to the age group or teaching topic. Each letter poster is designed for copying and then hand colouring by pupils to increase their sense of ownership of the words before laminating or mounting on card for display. Alternatively, posters can be put into A4 plastic folders fixed to notice boards to make them easy to change and keep children's attention on them from one lesson to the next. The specially designed Sassoon font is used throughout to support and link to handwriting development for younger pupils and to maintain clarity. find out more | The Roswell Mystery - A History X-File £35.24 Subject: History Level: Secondary Age Group: 11 - 14 Order Number: 7051
