A set of Information and Communication Technology alphabet copying masters for ICT rooms, designed to contribute to the literacy impact of the environment and add visual stimulus by displaying essential vocabulary in an attractive and easily absorbed format. The alphabet supports developing literacy skills for ages 8 to 16 by matching vocabulary with appropriate graphics for easier interpretation of words. A complete alphabet is usually placed in order around the room to aid alphabetic sequencing and to act as visual aids for the teacher, but they can also be used as flash cards. The complete set consists of forty-one black and white A4 masters with clear line drawings. The extra letter posters about twenty-six give alternative words for some letters in order to allow the display to be tailored to the age group or teaching topic. Each letter poster is designed for copying and then hand colouring by pupils to increase their sense of ownership of the words before laminating or mounting on card for display. Alternatively, posters can be put into A4 plastic folders fixed to notice boards to make them easy to change and keep children's attention on them from one lesson to the next. The specially designed Sassoon font is used throughout to support and link to handwriting development for younger pupils and to maintain clarity.
