Improvisation in the Classroom is a photocopiable resource containing practical advice on teaching improvisation in the music classroom to students ranging from Year 7 to A Level.

The first five sections of the book contain dozens of practical tasks for use in the classroom and each task is clearly described and fully differentiated. The tasks will engage students in working with keyboards and/or tuned percussion, either on their own, in pairs or In larger groups. Each task is designed to be set up, worked on and performed within the time of an average single lesson.

The final section of the book contains multiple examples of various types of improvisation stimuli for GCSE and A Level examinations.
