In Other People's Shoes is a collection of paired playscripts to read, discuss and respond to in the classroom as part of the PSHE and Citizenship requirements in years 7 to 11. Each playscript deals with a moral dilemma, social dilemma or an incident in everyday life that provokes a response and calls for comment.

The plays are accompanied by follow-up work that invites small and large group discussion and a variety of written tasks. Work is designed to offer a NC programme of study that requires students to 'use their imagination to consider other people's experiences and be able to think about, express and explain views that are not their own.'

In Other People's Shoes is an adaptable resource that offers great opportunities for cross-curricular activities. It can be used independently as part of a free-standing tutorial programme or as one complementary element in a departmental scheme of work covering an assigned requirement of the PSHE and Citizenship order. It is also designed to form a solid part of a school's Literacy Policy in its promotion of reading, listening and speaking skills.
