Interactive Economics Diagrams, Tutorials & Questions CD-ROM, including over ninety PowerPoint slides of animated diagrams, tutorials and questions with answers, will prove to be an indispensable tool for teachers of A-level Economics. The interactive diagrams and questions will allow teachers to save time, add ICT to their lessons and encourage students to participate in self-assessment.

The resource is split into two sections. The first section contains a set of animated economics diagrams and tutorials, with explanations, which can either be used by teachers to present the topics to their classes or can be used as a revision aid for students to work through at their own pace. In the second section, there are three subsections of questions and answers:

1. Basic supply and demand: these are relatively straightforward questions that could be used with a GCSE class or a group just starting an AS course.
2. Supported choice: multiple choice questions where students have to explain their answers.
3. Data response: This section focuses on the higher-order skills of analysis and evaluation which are needed to gain the higher grades at A-level. This makes these questions particularly suited to those at the higher end of the ability range.

All three of these follow the format of a question followed by a fully explained answer. Students should be instructed to write a full answer, with appropriate diagrams, before checking their answer against the one provided. The interactive nature of this section allows students to work at their own pace and engage in self-assessment, reflecting upon the answer they have provided and how it could be improved.

Once purchased, the CD can be freely copied or networked throughout the school.
