When teaching English Language and Literature, teachers give examples of the style and language used by great writers and poets. The pack provides a useful extension and consolidation of this work and can enhance attainment in English Language and English Literature students aged 14-18. The material enables students to focus on key techniques used by writers, thereby increasing their knowledge of it. The visuals mean that students can gain a greater understanding of the meaning of the words and can then apply these words in their Language and Literature work, increasing the depth at which they write and raising their attainment level. For teachers unfamiliar with, or unsure of, the meanings of the words the pack can also act as an aid memoire.
