There are sheets on each of the four rules working from lower ability levels (adding single digit numbers or multiplying by 2,3,5.10 and 9) through average ability level to challenging work for the more able (adding 2 digit to three digit numbers multiplying and dividing by 7,8 beyond the 10 times table and mixed four rules at these levels.

The sheets can be used with a data projector as a mental and oral starter or may fit in to the plenary session of a lesson.

They are primarily designed to allow individual students to practice skills and as the software evaluates their answers they should not need any supervision. A student of average or lower ability can practice on areas where they have a weakness and higher ability students can be stretched The paper version could be used to assess which area students need to work on.

The resource is protected so the only area that can be altered is the answer column. Teachers can unprotect the sheets, if they wish, and alter the number in the sums thus increasing the range of questions if they need to for specific children.

There are three formats provided:

1. A word document, electronic format, each pages having an embedded Excel worksheet so the student can work on an appropriate page.
2. The Excel workbook - which can be used in the same way. This can also be used to extend the range of questions.
3. A word document that is photocopied - does not allow answers to be entered. This in intended as a teacher reference can also be used for pencil and paper tests.

Once purchased the CD-ROM can be freely copied, networked or given to pupils.
