Vocabulario esencial para A-Level is the resource that you need if you are taking students the full length in Spanish, starting at AS and finishing at A-Level. Indeed when you start to use it, the first question that will come to your mind is: how did I manage without it? Vocabulario esencial is set out in a very clear and concise fashion: eleven key areas of study are treated in depth in a three-page format. The topics on offer are as follows: Climate Change, Road Safety, Old Age, The Mediterranean Diet, NGOs, War, Drugs, Immigration, Pollution, Football and finally Skiing. The first page offers a wide range of core nouns along with essential verbs. Room is provided for their translation. Complete and semi complete sentences are provided, too. A second page of exercises allows the student to put most of the newly-acquired vocabulary into use through a set of challenging questions, and, last but not least, page three rounds off the topic being studied with either a sopa de letras or definiciones, neither of which should prove too taxing.
