'Macbeth' is the tragic story of a brave, noble man whose ambition drove him to murder but who lost everything, including his life.
These materials are suitable for students of all abilities, aged 14 to 16. The resource is particularly useful for students with Special Educational Needs or English as an Additional Language. It promotes the development of reading, writing, spelling and comprehension skills, using Shakespeare's 'Macbeth' as the focus.
Each chapter is summarised for ease of comprehension, and so that pupils can understand it who may find the original version difficult. Understanding of the text is further supported through questions, sequencing, cloze, word squares, matching and multiple choice activities. Answers are provided. There is a bingo spelling game, an assessment and monitoring record sheet for teachers and pupils to monitor progress made in reading and spelling the target words from 'Macbeth', and a word and definition activity.
