The new specification has amalgamated the previous 20 topics (spread over 2 papers) into 4 strands. There is now an option for taking the short course. This material can be used for OCR, GCSE in Latin J281, Unit A405: Sources for Latin and OCR GCSE Classical Green J290 unit B405: Sources for Classical Greek.

This resource will give an overview of the 4 strands using keywords/themes that should be covered in preparation for the examination. In addition there is recommended reading to help students prepare for each strand, lesson ideas and examination technique. There are practice questions particularly for the essays, with an outline of model answers to show how essays are marked. It is the essays that delineate a grade C/D from the higher grades.

There are copiable resources included for each strand. The specification indicates that the use of ICT can be incorporated and guidance on its use is included.
