This product is geared toward improving literacy and understanding of keywords in science. It is aimed at 11-14 year olds, and is suitable for a range of abilities. It consists of eye-catching full colour A4 display material, and black and white pupils worksheets. A broad range of biology, chemistry and physics topics are covered.
Each keyword has an associated graphic to illustrate the meaning of the word so that pupils will become more familiar with scientific keywords and their meanings.
The black and white worksheets offer pupils the chance to articulate their own ideas of the meaning of each keyword, and to add appropriate colours in some cases e.g. acids and alkalis - ideal for lower ability pupils.
The worksheets are an excellent way for teachers to assess pupils' understanding of the topics, and for pupils to learn a valuable summarising/revision skill.
