Script Starters for Drama is a new, photocopiable resource, which provides students with quick, concentrated, powerful stimuli for a wide variety of creative responses. These range from basic comprehension to fully rehearsed group improvisations and aim to promote a variety of skills such as speaking and listening, group presentation and problem-solving using various forms of communication and investigating dramatic form and style.

Each script is short and involves a limited number of characters to encourage the students to use the roles, situations and conventions as a springboard for their own ideas.

The pack includes seven short scripts with accompanying lesson plans and ideas for development, and may be taught by specialists or non-specialists requiring little more resources than a space in which to work.
