The Shakespeare in Rhyme series consists of four A5 booklets containing summaries of the works of Shakespeare in verse form. The series has been written to assist teachers and pupils in their understanding of specific plays by presenting them in an interesting and appealing manner. Each play sums up key events, characters and issues in a simple and effective way and is particularly useful when presented after the play has been studied, as pupils then recall certain details to understand and explain the verses. Pupils may also wish to present particular verses in their own way, for instance, through Drama.
