The Art Packs comprise 20 challenging art and design assessments encouraging interaction and exploration.

They provide pupils opportunities to:

1. further their understanding of visual communication
2. explore technical and functional problems in art and design
3. explore components of the visual language of art and design, including colour, pattern, line and tone
4. develop methods of visual recording from direct experience, memory and imagination
5. use their knowledge and understanding of skills and processes to express feelings and ideas imaginatively
6. use a range of source materials as visual reference for the development of ideas
7. make constructive use of the approaches and methods of other artists in their own work

The Art Pack 2 - This pack covers the same attainment targets but through a different set of themes. Many of the ideas presented could be explored using a variety of media. Artists whose work is examined include Henri Rousseau, Auguste Renoir, Allan D'Arcangelo and Norman Rockwell. Techniques covered include sketching, montage, poster design and calligraphy.
