The Assembly Year is a resource designed to help Senior Managers, Teachers and others who lead school assemblies or have to provide reflection in tutor groups throughout the year. A broad selection of themes are offered, with assembly/reflection topics that will appeal to students of all ages and abilities, and which provide material which is interesting and stimulating.

The resource is based on a series of A4 sheets providing materials which can be used in an assembly or tutor session. Each topic includes two linking or distinct stories based on one theme. This provides a strong narrative for the user, and offers stimulating stories and content based on a series of specified topics which will fit in with the curriculum, and key festivals and events. Each page also includes a short 'Fascinating Fact' and a Bible Reference, which together provide the opportunity for greater spiritual reflection and debate. Opportunities for further discussion and tasks are also listed briefly in order to allow follow-up work for those that wish it, and those that might wish to develop further activities in Tutor lessons or PSHE.
