Online Catalogue | Secondary 14 - 16 | History | The Cold War CD-ROM
Subject: HistoryLevel: SecondaryAge Group: 14 - 16Order Number: 7146
This CD-ROM has been developed to help all students, either at GCSE or AS/A2 level, with their understanding of the Cold War era of 1945 to 1962. It aims to provide lively, engaging and appropriate exam-focussed material that is well-structured and supportive for pupils of all abilities. The main focus of this CD-ROM is largely on content, that is, to examine and explore the time period 1945 to 1962. Therefore, it examines how and why the Cold War came about and allows students to investigate some of the major flashpoints of the Cold War, for example, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Korean War and the Berlin Blockade. There are sections that deal with historians’ differing interpretations of the Cold War as well. This revision aid will greatly help students to maximise their examination potential.
Through this CD-ROM pupils are promoted to spend much time and care developing their source analysis and extended answer technique. In addition to this, the CD-Rom contains a relevant checklist section to promote further recursive learning and there are practice exam questions that your students can answer and you can mark.
