The Definitive Revision Guide tells the student how to learn, and should be used along alongside all other resources. The student is shown how to revise for each part of his exam and how to make the most of what they know in the exam. It also helps the student to work in an effective way, which will enable him/her to improve their French rapidly, whatever their level. Most of the methods described in The Definitive French Guide can be used after their exam, so that the student can carry on improving and really master their French. There are four skills involved in using a foreign language - listening, speaking, reading and writing. In listening and reading, the student needs to be able to show that they understand the French which they hear and read. In speaking and writing, they have to use French. The French they use in speaking and writing, they have probably encountered in listening and reading and to obtain good marks, the student needs to make the most effective use of what you already know.
