The Keyboard Study Pack is a practical teaching resource for developing keyboard skills in the lower school. It assumes no prior knowledge, beginning with identifying the notes on a keyboard and then relating them to a stave. It progresses through understanding metre, rhythm, tempo and key, as well as developing keyboard technique, finally building up to using both hands together.

Particular attention is given to electronic keyboards and how music can be created using them. Advice is given on how to use chord accompaniment, orchestration and special effects.

Each page of the resource is a free standing information sheet which can be photocopied. Some sheets also include tasks for pupils to practice and demonstrate their keyboard skills. The resource can be used for both classroom teaching and for pupils' private study and practice.
