Word Puzzles for AQA GCSE Psychology 3181

These resources are a collection of word puzzles for students following AQA GCSE Psychology. Each resource has over 40 puzzles to aid the learning and revision of key terms and concepts. It is suitable for ages 14-16 students and adult learners.

They could also be used for some units of the OCR syllabus.

There are four types of word puzzles in each book.

• Simple word search puzzles, where students are just required to just find the words listed. These are useful to use as starters to a lesson, or to introduce a new topic, as no previous subject knowledge is required.
• Complex word search puzzles, these puzzles have clues to the word to find, a bit like a crossword puzzle. These are useful as revision exercises, or at the end of a unit.
• Standard crossword puzzles. These are useful as revision exercises, or at the end of a unit.
• Cipher. Use the cipher provided to decode the words listed.

Many of the clues used in the complex word search puzzles and the crosswords are the same, providing multiple opportunities for processing the same material in different forms. This also useful in mixed ability groups where different types of puzzles may be distributed on basis of level.

These puzzles are great for differentiation within a classroom setting, where they can be used to occupy students who have completed other tasks.
