Wordsearch Puzzles for AQA A Level Sociology CD

This resource contains a collection of word puzzles based on some of the terms used in A Level Sociology courses.

There are three types of word puzzles in this book:

• Simple word search puzzles, where students are just required to just find the words listed. These are useful to use as starters to a lesson, or to introduce a new topic, as no previous knowledge is required.
• Standard crossword puzzles. These are useful as revision exercises, or at the end of a unit. Some of these have the clues printed on a separate page.
• Cipher; use the cipher provided to decode the words listed.

These puzzles are great for differentiation within a classroom setting, where they can be used to occupy students who have completed other tasks. Or when time needs to be spent talking to individuals in a group.

Great for cover lessons, as a non-specialist can be provided with the answers. All of the puzzles can be copied onto A4 sheets for individuals, or onto larger A3 sheets for completion in pairs or teams. Laminated sheets can be reused when written on with a non-permanent marker, and when used on an overhead projector the whole class can play at the same time!

Once purchased, the CD can be freely copied or networked throughout the school.
