- The Periodic Table II
- Chemical Equilibrium II
- Acid-Base Equilibria
- Organic Chemistry II
Unit 5
- Redox Equilibria
- Transition Metal Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry III
- Chemical Kinetics II
- Organic Chemistry IV
Each topic begins with a brief introduction to its contents, followed by a list of the main section headings and subheadings and a list of suitable textbooks with a chapter and page reference.
The main body of text is then completed by expanding each heading, and contains diagrams, data tables and references to the textbook list given at the beginning of each chapter as necessary. Interspersed within the text and at the very end are questions and exercises relevant to the work just covered.
Each topic ends with a summary of the main points given in the same order as the section headings.
The book contains the entire syllabus except for the actual practical exercises which are provided by Edexel. It is meant to compliment rather than replace other textbooks, such as the NAS series dealing with this syllabus, and in its current format can be used as a workbook.
It can also be used for other A-level syllabuses and can provide a background for any chemistry course at a pre-university level.
